SMSF Administration

Audit of financial statements (referral)

Need a SMSF auditor?

We can point you in the right direction

When you have a SMSF, you must ensure it is audited every year by an approved SMSF auditor. There’s no need to be alarmed by this kind of audit. All it involves is an approved SMSF auditor conducting a financial and compliance check-up of your Super Fund. You appoint them and they examine your Fund’s financial statements and compliance with the super rules.

Here’s our referral

There’s no getting around this audit, but we are unable to assist personally in this instance due to a conflict of interest (we are already engaged to assist with the preparation of underlying reports).

No need to stress about finding someone though – we can still make that process easy for you by referring the matter to our highly recommended SMSF Auditor, Mark Pollock CA from Broad Pollock & Company. Easy.

As SMSF trustee, you must ensure that you formally appoint the auditor each year no later than 45 days before the due date of the SMSF return. The appointed approved SMSF auditor will then send you a letter of engagement, explaining the scope of the proposed audit.
